H&J Martin is delighted to announce our Compliance Department has recently achieved the UKAS accreditation ISO/IEC 17020:2012 – Inspection Bodies Accreditation for Surveying for Asbestos in Premises. Our Compliance team in conjunction with our HSQE team worked tirelessly to achieve this industry recognised accreditation. The process of achieving the accreditation involved both a quality surveillance and a competence surveillance. The UKAS auditors were complimentary of our quality systems and our In-house methods and procedures. The site surveillance of our surveying team was also successful with their vast experience and competence displayed with confidence.
This accreditation underpins the quality performance and technical competence that our compliance team have been working to from the outset. Our clients can be confident we are working in compliance with the accredited standards and delivering a high-quality service in the management of asbestos in their premises.
The accreditation relates to surveying for asbestos in premises to include –
- Management Survey: (domestic and commercial premises)
- Refurbishment and Demolition Survey: (domestic and commercial premises)
- Reinspection of identified or suspected asbestos containing material in surveyed premises
The UKAS accreditation is in addition is in addition to our UKATA accredited training services in Asbestos Awareness, Non-Licensed Removal of Asbestos Inc. NNLW as well as conducting Qualitative Face Fitting Tests for P3 filtered half mask respirators.
All of these courses can be conducted in our purpose-built training complex at Unit 53 CIDO Business Complex, Carn Drive, Portadown BT63 5WH or alternatively we can bring the training to site at your request.
